I agree with you...This was a very intriguing post. I agree with you in a sense that North American society seems to put to much "sex" into everything, even benign touching. <BR/><BR/>I originally came from Russia, and people there are much more at ease. Hugging each other, patting on the back etc. is considered normal. Two guys standing in an elevator do not immediately begin to pull apart because they are self-conscious. Took me awhile to get used to the whole "everything is related to sex" thing. <BR/><BR/>I think the “sex sells” mentality has made moviemakers, and all the media outlets connect it to their products, thus sexualizing too many aspects of our lives that need not be so.
